Ball Arena (formerly Pepsi Center), in Denver's former Pepsi Center complex, serves as home for both the Denver Nuggets of the NBA and Colorado Avalanche of NHL as well as concerts and family events organized by Kroenke Sports & Entertainment (KSE). KSE hopes that Ball Arena becomes an attraction within its local community as a result.

The CANteen, a grab-and-go vendor, sells only beverages in aluminum cans, fulfilling its sustainability goals while offering concession stand prices comparable to other Denver sports venues.

Concerts

Ball Arena is a world-class music venue that regularly welcomes major artists. Their events calendar is regularly updated to offer something of interest for music lovers, while they also provide an eTicket option so customers can easily purchase tickets.

On July 29th 2023, Alana Springsteen kicked off an incredible evening. She captivated the stage with powerful vocals and genre-bending performance that mesmerized the audience. Next came legendary rock band Papa Roach who thrilled their crowd with their high energy set filled with hard hitting anthems that got everyone moving - while impressing all with impressive use of pyrotechnics which only added more drama to their performance!

Denver is known for its vibrant downtown core filled with unique restaurants, brewpubs and cool bars suitable for people of all ages. Additionally, Denver boasts one of the most active and passionate sports fan bases in America - many residents take great joy in cheering their teams even when they don't perform as expected!

Denver Nuggets

As they transitioned from the ABA to NBA play in 1976-77, the Nuggets retained their "Maxie the Miner" logo from ABA days; later it was replaced by a circular pick-axe design and an alternate logo featuring two intersecting gold pickaxes in powder blue circle with half-white/half-yellow "mountain peaks".

Denver made NBA history during the 1993-94 season when they became the first eighth seed ever to upset a first-seeded team in a playoff series, defeating Seattle SuperSonics 5-3 in five games. Following this success, Denver switched their rainbow city skyline color scheme for navy blue, metallic gold and maroon uniforms for the following season.

The Denver Nuggets will start their 2023-24 regular season off right by playing seven out of their first 10 home games at Ball Arena, including an anticipated matchup against Oklahoma City Thunder on Oct 24 that should provide an intriguing Western Conference playoffs rematch. Furthermore, 15 post-All Star break games will also take place here, giving Denver an edge in playoff contention down the stretch.

Colorado Avalanche

The Colorado Avalanche call Ball Arena home for their National Hockey League (NHL) games. Managed by Kroenke Sports & Entertainment of Denver, KSE owns professional sports teams such as the Denver Nuggets (NBA), Colorado Avalanche (NHL), and National Hockey League's Colorado Mammoth (NHL).

Create the ultimate gameday experience from within an Avalanche luxury suite at Ball Arena. Suites come complete with customizable catering packages, in-suite attendant services, VIP parking access and private arena entrance, as well as dedicated concierge service - and can accommodate up to 10 guests at one time!

The Avs' schedule is fairly typical of an NHL team with 12 back-to-backs and most home games occurring between January and March. There are some anomalies such as two lengthy road trips in January and February that break up their schedule; however, an All-Star Game break of nine days and mandatory bye week are welcome additions that allow their schedule to breathe a bit.

The Denver Nuggets' arena center scoreboard sets an excellent standard among NBA venues and displays highlights, promotions and live action in 1080p HD resolution. While some stadium scoreboards might distract from what's happening on court below with their visual overload, their scoreboard complements and doesn't overshadow what's going on beneath its display.

Kroenke Sports & Entertainment plans to develop a lively street corridor from the Ball site to lower downtown Denver, Auraria Campus and other developments nearby. Their plan includes wider sidewalks to support retail sales, food/beverage sales, art displays and daily life in this region.

Rocky the Nuggets Mascot leads fans in cheers during home games while Skyline Drumline performs before each contest. Concession stands feature all major-league sports venue nutritional pyramid elements - hot dogs, corn dogs, burgers and pretzels are among their many offerings.
